Canary Wharf College Trust have given us the green light to hire the East Ferry premises this Autumn – and we are excited to re-open our onsite camp from October half term 26 - 30 October 2020!
Due to the 2nd lockdown, we will not be running our Christmas Camp this year, but we should be back February Half Term 2021
On 20th August, the government updated its guidance on how holiday clubs should operate. To ensure we follow this guidance and keep everyone at Camp Canary as safe as possible, we will be making changes to our provision. As the guidance is updated, further changes will be put in place if necessary.
Keeping everyone safe is our key priority, but our friendly and skilled team of staff will make sure your children have lots of fun and enjoy our programme packed full of varied and creative activities.
What changes have we made to our provision?
We’re operating at reduced capacity with 15 children maximum per group bubble. Each group bubble is assigned their own area, preventing bubbles from mixing. Any shared spaces will be used for a limited time only and bubbles will be kept 2 metres apart, using a colour coordinated system.
We will operate a one in, one out policy. Only one adult is permitted to accompany each child/sibling. Children will be temperature checked before they are allowed to enter the building. The arrival and departure area will move to the entrance of the building, where children will wash their hands before entering the main building.
All staff and children will wash their hands at regular times during the day and hand sanitiser will be available in all areas use. All touch points and equipment used will be regularly cleaned. All staff have access to disposable gloves, aprons and masks and must wear these when providing intimate care, First Aid or caring for a child with suspected COVID-19.
Changes to the Programme
Depending on the weather, we will spend as much time as possible outdoors, making use of the fantastic grounds and surrounding areas. We have suspended any activities where the children come into close contact with each other, but will keep these under review.
If any of the following applies to anyone turning up at the premises (you, your child, their carer, a member of staff etc) they must not enter Camp:
