What Group Is My Child In?

All children in Reception are in our Early Years group. This includes all children who turn 5 during the current academic year, which runs 1st September - 31st August. Grouping these children together assists us in our compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework.

Children in Years 1 - 6 are divided evenly across the Kidz and Juniors groups, according to the varying mix of children who attend each day. When making these assignments we consider factors like age, special needs, and what school the child attends (so they can be grouped with their classmates).

In accordance with Ofsted practice, during the Summer we continue to use the age groupings of the academic year just completed.
